on sunday, i went to the fabulous SoWa markets here in boston. and something awesome happened. I walked into a tent filled with the coolest prettiest things and the girl running the booth recognized me from this blog! Her name is Nicole Lebreux and she makes FANTASTIC clothing. I took a few pictures of some of my favorite things she had for sale to show this lovely community this treasure of a woman!


Nicole Lebreux is the owner of NicoleLebreux Original Apparel, a locally created business of garments that are made out of vintage, recycled, surplus and/or other environmentally friendly fabrics and is women’s wear that has the environment and the female form in mind. She also runs Fidget Finds, a vintage shop with a ton of goodies online. This broad does it all, Makes FABULOUS garments, up-cycles vintage jewelry and clothing, and runs her little business on the weekends at fairs and markets. a small business lady's dream! I am hoping to grab that green skirt from her shop soon. Be sure to check her out!

gahhhhh, so many adorable things!!!!!!!

we are

IN 9 DAYS TO VIRGINIA! its the saddest/happiest day. there are so many pros and cons but this is the best decision for us and we are excited! im about to close both of my shops for a week or more for the move. this is my biggest move yet. nervous but happy.

this was a day ago when ryan and i went to eat lunch at a bar on a rainy day. taken from the new camera! looooove playing with color! when shooting film, i almost never edit color. im excited to play so much with it in digital!

soooo, aaron is coming over in a bit. we're wokring on books, going grocery shopping, getting mix, going to the post office, then heading to my friend AMANDA's hour for her 21st birthday!!!!

fenway

this week was my first time going to fenway park to see the boston red sox play! my school was located right next to fenway, (its on fenway rd!) and ive never ever been to a game! ryan found some cheap awesome tickets on craigslist and we ran out the door and jumped on our bikes!







it was an amazing night of good boston fun with my best friend. go red sox! haha

this was our ride to north station to see the bruins game! it was WAY TOO crowded, so we ended up roaming all around the city on foot. it was CRAZY when the bruins won the stanley cup. everywhere there were people screaming and honking and going crazy! and forgive the blurriness of these photos but i love them anyway. ryan is so handsome with his playoff beard! but i am glad he shaved it since then. i missed seeing his face.

introducing the newest member of my life! its taken me forever to collect money and used parts for this but TODAY it is finished and is mine at last!


and just in time too! tomorrow, some ladies and i are driving to maine to shoot a with lav and lace shoot! and this machine will SAVE me so much money on photos! IVE never had a DSL before. NEVER. ive used a ton of them but never owned one. I think this is going to open many many more opportunities for me photographically. and dont you EVEN worry. Film is my number one passion! however, now i can do 1 MILLION more things when it comes to imagery and movies and weddings and work and books and prints. i know this was the best investment for me at this time in my artistic and business life.

i am happy! also i work everyday and its sort of a pain. We're in the midst of figuring out WHAT were doing and if ryan and I will have to stay here in boston for the remainder of the summer (which would be very hard on us because it is very expensive). alas, i keep telling myself there is no need to stress out about things like this but.. it would just be easier is we knew!

well, enough of that for now. I have two rolls of film waiting for me so tomorrow i will finally show you all some new stuff!

im finding out

that its hard to blog in film when you're really broke. BUMMER. this week was seriously so mellow. I needed to get a ton of stuff done and i just sat around and relaxed. i always feel guilty for things like this because im not really under any form of pressure (apart from working enough to pay rent+bills). We've just been super lazy this past week. which i say is OKAY! this is why my blog has been so sleepy.. because i have been so sleepy. haha

for a lazy post, today i want to share with you, the beautiful hickey garden. my ryan hickey has the most lovely family home just south of boston, we travel there literally as often as possible. it reminds us of the life normal humans live with gardens and a grill and sitting outside drinking blueberry lemonade. we/i cant wait to live somewhere low key. haha.



how wonderful?! anyway, ive been working everyday then coming home and playing with sprite or going out on a date with ry or making a book here and there. tonight we are going out with his sister Meaghan to celebrate the boston victory! (stanley cup). actually, she sells cute watches on etsy. her shop is cleverly called Sunny Bricini Crafts. check her out!

meet the handmade with lavender and lace Best Buddy Books. they are so sweet for best friends! made from vintage fabric and awesome paper that can be used for just about anything.


this is Amanda's Perfect Photo Album, made from the fabric of my vintage sofa, it already has a sweet history! its got beautiful deep mustard paper and is the perfect size to put photos as an album (with photo corners). i love the color mixture of this book!

studio space photos

so, since out roommate moved out a while back.. we've been able to spread out in our apt a little more. Ive moved my small corner kitchen studio into the living room near some windows and natural light. finally! missed the sun!










ahh summer! how was everyone's weekend? mine was pretty good. wasnt feeling awesome but im better now i think!

this morning

its a lil rainy and cool outside, im headed to the south end to eat fancy with my friend jimmy! we love getting fancy together. we were once told "you two would be great for cocktails" by a man who lives a fairly fancy life.. thus proving our legitimate fanciness... haha.
