books books books.

yes yes, I am currently back peddling through the photos of our grand adventure. We've been home for about two weeks now and its honestly been SO WEIRD getting back into a normal routine! I've been buried in audio books since we've been back. This is my first time ever listening to novels on tape and I am loving it! I listen while I make my lunch and on the walk or ride to work.. I listen in my car, when I shop and in the store when no one is in. I've now heard about 6 novels in two weeks! There are more stories swirling around in my brain then ever before and its kind of crazy exciting. Most of them are sappy teenage love books (GUILTY OKAY) haha! If you're into audio books and like the sweet sweet contemporary stuff.. listen to Slammed. Also The Selection, The Elite and if you're feeling into something a little denser.. try Hopeless. Ryan and I also are into the Divergent series, hopefully jumping into the second book really soon. This next week, Im going to start to listen to come classic lit starting with Anne of Green Gables. I've never been that serious of a reader because I always need to be doing things with my hands. Listening to the books seems to be the perfect compliment to my lifestyle right now. I would love love love some book suggestions.. if you have any!

  1. I've had the same thing lately, but with podcasts and radio shows. I recently discovered this NPR show out of Chicago called This American Life. Each week on the show they have a theme and people share all kinds of different stories about whatever the theme is. I feel like I'm learning so much and being filled up by other people's beautiful stories. :) You should check it out, all of the shows are free to stream or download:

Also, I've been following your blog for awhile now and just thought I'd let you know that your photography is some of my very favorite out there. :) Stunning!

  2. I'm a huge audiobook geek- always have been. I'm currently listening to A Game of Thrones, but I highly recommend the Harry Potter series as the narrator is amazing. And based on your current reads/listens (I'm a full-time librarian who reads a ton of Young Adult novels!) I would also recommend The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver, definitely the entire Anne of Green Gables series (so good!) and French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.
